Broiled Fish Taco Wraps

- My cucumber coleslaw: shopping list
- 1/4 wedge of a large green cabbage, sliced for coleslaw then coarse chopped shopping list
- OR use part of a pkg. of coleslaw mix shopping list
- 1/2 small cucumber, peeled, seeded, small diced shopping list
- 1 Tbs finely minced onion shopping list
- San Diego fish taco white sauce- see the separate recipe posted or mayonnaise to moisten coleslaw shopping list
- Fish: shopping list
- 1 lb halibut or favorite fish filet ( ex: talapia ) shopping list
- 2 limes shopping list
- fish or seafood seasoning as desired shopping list
- For assembly: shopping list
- Soft flour tortillas ( 9 inch size ) shopping list
- The prepared fish shopping list
- The prepared coleslaw shopping list
- The San Diego fish taco white sauce shopping list
- lime wedges if desired shopping list
- Optional garnish: favoritie vegetable salsa for color and flavor shopping list
How to make it
- Make coleslaw:
- combine the prepared cabbage,cucumber and onion and moisten to taste with the mayo
- OR use some of the San Diego Taco fish white sauce instead
- Marinate the fish with 2 squeezed limes 1 -2 hours before use
- Drain fish, season with favorite fish or seafood spice
- Broil a few inches from the heat, to brown and finish cooking
- ASSEMBLY:
- Spread a portion of the coleslaw on a soft flour tortilla
- Coarse flake some of the broiled fish and layer over the coleslaw for each tortilla
- Spoon some fish taco white sauce over the fish
- Roll up the wrap as preferred
- Slice in half
- Serve with extra coleslaw and taco fish white sauce if you wish
- Yield: 2- 4 servings
- Note: for extra color to this recipe and flavor one may make their coleslaw with red cabbage etc plus top the tortillas with some colorful fresh vegetable salsa
