Ingredients

How to make it

  • Saute onion in the oil and butter until soft
  • Add the garlic and berbere spice, tomato paste, and sugar and cook and stir until thick
  • Add some stock graduallyand stir to make a paste
  • Add the remaining liquid and stir
  • Add meat cubes and cook gently ( simmer ) until the meat is cooked and sauce thickened and reduced
  • Season with salt

    What an awesome dinner you made! My family has been to a couple of Ethiopian Restaurants and we LOVED it. I'm so tickled to see a few recipes that I can try out to duplicate our experience. Thanks so much for sharing! Very cool!
