Buttermilk Bisquits
From JusJody 11 years agoIngredients
- 3 cups Gold Medal self rising flour shopping list
- 1/4 cup Crisps Grease shopping list
- a pinch of salt shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups of water shopping list
How to make it
- Grease a 8 inch iron skillet with oil. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- In a medium bowl combine flour, water, oil and salt. Stir and blend well. On a floured board dust the board with some flour lightly. Is best to dust your hands with flour, scrape the dough out onto the floured board and using your hands fold the edges of the dough in on itself. Turning the edges up and into coating well with flour, Knead the dough for several minutes until a slight pull in dough can be made without being gummy. Use your hands and roll the dough into a log rectangular tube and pinch off a good sized amount and roll in your fingers turning under while rotating in hands. Place in greased skillet and flip in oil with smooth side up. you can use a rolling pin and roll out to about 1/2 inch thickness and use a cutter. I prefer using my hands. Place in middle rack and lightly brush with margarine or butter and cook for 20 minutes. behold.. A perfect Cat -head Bisquit..
