Chocolate oatmeal drop cookies
From Portocarrero 10 years agoIngredients
- 1/4 cup Becel margarine shopping list
- 1/2 cup Kraft smooth peanut butter shopping list
- 1/2 cup 2% milk shopping list
- 1 cup brown sugar (Redpath golden yellow sugar) shopping list
- 1 cup White sugar shopping list
- 4 tbsp premium cocoa shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla shopping list
- 2 1/2 cups Quaker 1 minute oats (that's the full amount I used) shopping list
How to make it
- Combine the first 6 ingredients in a medium sized pot over just above medium heat, bring to a full boil stirring continuously. Once it's fully boiling and you start to see it thickening a bit... I'd guess about 1 1/2 minutes hard boiling.. See Photo. remove it from the burner and add the vanilla. Stir the vanilla in well and add the oatmeal 1 cup at a time. Once you see the mix is thick and still looks like it might need another 1/2 of a cup of oats... STOP there :) with out adding the extra bit of oatmeal trust me it thickens up as it cools See Photo. Spoon it out onto tin foil See Photo. (what I usually do is use an old 9x13 margarine tub and line it with foil then do one layer at a time with tin foil separating each layer and throw it in the freezer) These cookies, to my family, are best after about 5 minutes straight out of the freezer and they're chewy like caramel and soooooo delish!!! Enjoy!!
