How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350F
  • Grease and flour a 8 x 12 oblong pan or 9 inch bundt type pan
  • Cut up orange ,place in blender with raisins and milk and process smooth into a puree
  • Place mixture in a bowl
  • Add remaining ingredients except orange juice and sugar and use electric mixer and blend well.
  • Pour into desired pan. Bake 45 minutes or until cake tests done.
  • Remove to rack and carefully invert onto rack only if using a bundt cake
  • Immediately drizzle orange juice over hot cake ( it will absorb most of the juice )
  • Heavily sprinkle with the sugar
  • Cool completely and then chill, if you want cake to firm up more
  • Note: 1 oblong or 1 bundt type of cake
