- 8 oz box elbow macaroni shopping list
- 1.5 cups Extra Sharp Shredded cheddar cheese shopping list
- 1.5 cups Finely Shredded colby / Jack cheese shopping list
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese shopping list
- 3 cups whole milk shopping list
- 5 tablespoons unsalted butter shopping list
- 3.5 tablespoons All Purpose flour shopping list
- 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper shopping list
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter shopping list
- 1 cup crushed potato chips (Wavy Lays) shopping list
How to make it
- Prepare Macaroni Noodles per the MFG Instructions
- Once cooked, Drain and Pour Noodles into a Casserole Baking Dish.
- Melt 5 tbs butter in a saucepan and add 3.5 tbs flour incrementally.
- Mix to make a blonde roux. do not brown the roux.
- Incrementally add the 3 cups of milk into the roux.
- Add Cheese and Cayenne Pepper and melt to a smooth Cheese Sauce consistency.
- Once Cheese Sauce is smooth, remove from heat and pour evenly into the casserole baking dish.
- Stir and mix macaroni to evenly coat with the cheese.
- Melt 2 tbs Butter and brown the potato chips and spoon onto the top of the macaroni mixture.
- Sprinkle a little extra parmesan and cheddar and place into the oven preheated at 350 degrees and bake for 30 minutes.
