Ahoy Matey Chicken

- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into tenders-strips shopping list
- 3 cups Captain Crunch cereal, more may be neeed so keep handy shopping list
- 2 cups corn flakes, again keep the box handy in case you need it shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1/2 cup milk shopping list
- 1/2 cup flour shopping list
- 1/2-3/4 teaspoon onion powder shopping list
- 1/2-3/4 teaspoon garlic powder shopping list
- 1/4-1/2 teaspoon pepper shopping list
- vegetable oil shopping list
- 1 cup mayonnaise shopping list
- 4 tablespoons honey shopping list
- 2 tablespoons prepared mustard shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oil in a large heavy-bottom skillet or deep fryer.
- Coarsely grind or crush up the cereals, mix and set aside in a shallow dish or plate.
- In a bowl, stir together the flour, onion powder, garlic powder and pepper. Set aside.
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and milk. Set aside.
- Now...the assembly line:
- Dip the chicken pieces in the seasoned flour mixture and coat well.
- Shake off excess flour.
- Dip in in the egg wash, coating well, then dip into the cereal mixture, coating well.
- Drop the coated chicken tenders in hot oil and cook until golden brown and fully cooked, about 6-10 minutes total, turning once for even cooking.
- Drain on a paper towel.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, honey, and mustard. Combine well and serve as dipping sauce for chicken.
