How to make it

  • Heat oil in a large heavy-bottom skillet or deep fryer.
  • Coarsely grind or crush up the cereals, mix and set aside in a shallow dish or plate.
  • In a bowl, stir together the flour, onion powder, garlic powder and pepper. Set aside.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and milk. Set aside.
  • Now...the assembly line:
  • Dip the chicken pieces in the seasoned flour mixture and coat well.
  • Shake off excess flour.
  • Dip in in the egg wash, coating well, then dip into the cereal mixture, coating well.
  • Drop the coated chicken tenders in hot oil and cook until golden brown and fully cooked, about 6-10 minutes total, turning once for even cooking.
  • Drain on a paper towel.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, honey, and mustard. Combine well and serve as dipping sauce for chicken.
