Ahoy Matey Chicken Recipe
This is way better than that fast food "chicken" from those chain restaurants! Not an everyday meal, but every once in a while it's good to treat yourself!

Ingredients
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into tenders-strips
  • 3 cups Captain Crunch cereal, more may be neeed so keep handy
  • 2 cups Corn Flakes, again keep the box handy in case you need it
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2-3/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2-3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4-1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • vegetable oil
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 4 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons prepared mustard

Directions
  1. Heat oil in a large heavy-bottom skillet or deep fryer.
  2. Coarsely grind or crush up the cereals, mix and set aside in a shallow dish or plate.
  3. In a bowl, stir together the flour, onion powder, garlic powder and pepper. Set aside.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and milk. Set aside.
  5. Now...the assembly line:
  6. Dip the chicken pieces in the seasoned flour mixture and coat well.
  7. Shake off excess flour.
  8. Dip in in the egg wash, coating well, then dip into the cereal mixture, coating well.
  9. Drop the coated chicken tenders in hot oil and cook until golden brown and fully cooked, about 6-10 minutes total, turning once for even cooking.
  10. Drain on a paper towel.
  11. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, honey, and mustard. Combine well and serve as dipping sauce for chicken.
