How to make it

  • Sift dry ingredients into a large bowl
  • Make a well in center and add sour cream, eggs,oil and vanilla
  • With a hand held electric beater, beat medium speed until well blended
  • In another bowl combine berries with the sugar and cinnamon
  • Grease and flour a bundt pan very well
  • ( I use baking spray )
  • Add 1/2 batter to pan, and sprinkle with 1 cup of berry filling
  • Add remaining batter and sprinkle on remaining berry mixture
  • Sprinkle almonds over if using
  • Bake in a preheated 350F center rack until cake tests done with a toothpick, about 60-70+ minutes
  • Place cake pan on rack to cool
  • When warm, poke some holes in cake with toothpick
  • Drizzle on glaze as desired or dust heavily with powdered sugar when cool.
  • Remove from pan when cold
