How to make it

  • Combine all ingredients and place in an airtight glass jar or plastic container.
  • NOTE- You can control the amount of spices according to your personal taste, as long as you keep close to the original list of ingredients in order to keep it's authenticity, but as usual exceptions and "twicks" can be made.

This is really good! I usually use Emeril's Essence (homemade recipe) for creole seasoning, but I thought I'd try something different. I like the white pepper in this, and the basil also makes it different. I cut down on the salt as I like to salt my food as I cook, and I cut down on the cayenne just because my kids don't like spicy food. I upped everything from teaspoons to tablespoons so I can have a big batch on hand. I just made Cajun chicken pasta with this, and it's very good! Looking forward to trying it with gumbo! :) More here: Creole Cajun Seasoning
