How to make it

  • Cream butter, sugar and vanilla together.
  • Add flour gradually, and stir in nuts.
  • Stir in toffee bits, if using.
  • Roll dough into small balls, about the size of a quarter.
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes, until lightly browned on bottom.
  • Remove cookies from oven and immediately roll in powdered sugar. Cool completely before storing in air tight container.
