Zagreb Veal Steak

- 700 g veal (4 large schnitzels) shopping list
- 60 g ham (cooked smoked farmer’s ham) shopping list
- 60 g cheese (Gouda or swiss cheese) shopping list
- 2 eggs (cooked) shopping list
- 200 g breadcrumbs shopping list
- 150 g flour shopping list
- 3 eggs shopping list
- 50 g salt shopping list
- 1 lemon shopping list
How to make it
- Beat veal steaks to make them thin.
- Cut cooked eggs into slices.
- Slice ham and cheese.
- Salt steaks from inside and put slice of ham, slice of cheese and egg slice on one side of steak.
- Cover with other side to make it look like a pocket. Beat the ends of the steak to close them.
- Whisk 3 eggs like you are making omelet. Put steakes into flour, than eggs, than breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil and lard (50-50%)in a frying pan and fry steaks until golden on both sides.
- Cut lemon into slices and serve with steaks. We usually eat the steaks with French fry potato.

I LOVED this recipe. The technique is downright fun and who knew you could seal the edges of veal that way to make a really great pocket!!!! Yummy and delicious. So happy I tried this out. More in IMI11.
