Husband went to pick up pizza, I making salad. Dressing gone. Ran to neat church cookbook, and found this one. The woman who shared the recipe says it has been used in theU.S. Senate Dining Rm since 1955! I recommend adding ingredients to bowl before the greens, Much easier, and one less bowl. Read more .. - Mince one clove garlic
- add 1/2 t. salt
- 1/4 t. pepper
- dash dry mustard and mix together.
- Add 1 T. lemon juice
- 1/4 c. salad oil
- 2 T. Parmesan cheese, grated.
- Put in bottom of salad bowl, place greens, and sliced red onions, and sliced bell peppers, and diced tomato, and few basil leaves, and toss together, and enjoy!

I use Dijon mustard instead of powdered mustard. Also, shallots instead of garlic is be good too. I love the simplicity of this recipe, it's a basic must have.
