Ingredients

How to make it

  • Roll the bacon like a fruit rollup. Make an + in the bottom with toothpicks so it stands up on the baking rack in the pan. Put the meat side(the redder side) of the bacon side up. Put oven to 375 or 400 whichever you prefer. Bake until as crispy as you like, checking fairly frequently. I even turned mine sideways then towards the end to get the bottom crispy, too.
  • I used turkey bacon for the leaves. You can cut them into whatever shape you like and bake them in different forms using parchment paper/muffin pans as molds. Caution: The turkey bacon cooks much faster.
  • I made a basket out of parchment paper and laced ribbon through the top to make it look pretty. You can decorate the basket however you like. Then I laid the basket on a white platter and decorated with silk roses.
  • I put white crepe paper bunched up in the basket then placed the "leaves" and "roses" in a decorative fashion. Have fun!
