How to make it

  • Heat stock pot and add oil and butter. When melted, add potatoes, onion, garlic, celery, peppers, and bay leaf. Add salt, pepper, and either Old Bay or Cajun seasoning. Sauté approximately 5 minutes. Stir in chicken broth. Add the flour to the milk or half and half (blend well), then stir the milk into the pot. Bring to a low boil. Add corn and crab. Simmer another 10 minutes. Remove bay leaf before serving.
  • This recipe is good with all kinds of seafood. I have made it with combinations of clams, crab meat, shrimp, and scallops.
