How to make it

  • Heat oven to 200C
  • Combine all ingredients except cream and water
  • Mix cream and water in another bowl
  • Make a well in the dry ingredient bowl
  • Pour cream/water mix into the well
  • Use a knife to draw all ingredients together - don't over-mix!
  • Get a baking tray out and lay down a sheet of grease proof paper
  • Get your hands dirty by pulling off lumps and shaping them so they look like fat cotton reels
  • Space these on the baking sheet.
  • Bake till springy to touch and golden brown, around 15-20 minutes
