How to make it

  • Mix together dry cake mix, pie filling, almond flavoring, and eggs. Pour into a greased 10" x 15" baking pan.
  • Bake at 325 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in centr comes out clean.
  • To prepare frosting, combine sugar, margarine, and milk in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat and add chocolate chips. Beat until smooth and creamy.
  • Frost bars while they are still warm.

    A family member used to make these when I was a kid -- I had tried, but never got all the ingredients right so I was never satisfied. THANKS so much -- I am going to be very, very happy here this weekend when I made these!
