How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 425F.
  • Combine sour cream, sugar, salt, nutmeg, cinnamon eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Add the dates and blend well.
  • Pour into pie shell.
  • Bake for 10 minutes, reduce heat to 325F.
  • Bake 25 minutes.
  • Cool thoroughly and chill.

    Have bookmarked this for later. It looks yummy and I love dates. What is on top in the photo, ice cream or whipped cream? Thanks for the recipe, but you could have left out the nutritional info. Ha Ha

    I've made this pie before, only with rasins not dates and it is very good, so next time I make it I will try the dates (which I adore).. Now I'll say WOW and yummmm, and I will rate this recipe because I KNOW it and like it very much! Thank you for posting.. happy cooking
