Oriental Zaatar Mix- Lebanese Condiment

Who hasn't heard of zaatar pies aka manaqeesh, zaatar feta,zaatar labneh or even zaatar pizza .all these are Lebanese classics. Why buy zaatar if u can make an authentic one!
Ingredients
- 1/2 kg freshly dried green thyme/oregano shopping list
- 3 heapful tablespoons each: karawieh powder, sumac, dry coriander powder,dry dill powder, dry fennel powder,ground black pepper, cumin powder,. shopping list
- 2 tablespoons salt shopping list
- 1/2 cup raw sesame seeds shopping list
- 1/3 cup of each: coconut powder, almond powder, pistachio powder, walnut powder, hazelnut powder, cashew powder(all are dry nt roasted) shopping list
How to make it
- Mix all ingredients in a big deep bowl and store in air tight jar.
- serving suggestions:
- 1- mix with olive oil as filling for pies.
- 2-top feta or ricotta cheese and drizzle with olive oil
- 3-top pizza with a sprinkle of this mix for very oriental herbal taste.
- 4- top labneh sandwich with this mix.
