How to make it

  • Spice mix: Mix together smoked paprika, sage, cayenne pepper and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
  • Cut ribs to fit into slow cooker.
  • Season top and bottom of ribs with salt and pepper.
  • Rub spice mix all over ribs.
  • Pour water into slow cooker. Layer the ribs into the slow cooker.
  • Cook on High for 3 hours.
  • Add barbeque sauce to cover all ribs. You may not need the entire bottle.
  • Cook an additional 3 hours on high.
  • Note: Adjust the seasonings to your liking.
