Southern Slow Cooker Pinto Beans

- 1 16oz bag of dried pinto beans shopping list
- 1 large onion, chopped shopping list
- 1 3oz ham hock shopping list
- 2 tsp salt shopping list
- 2 tsp ground black pepper shopping list
- 1 tblsp sugar shopping list
- *water shopping list
How to make it
- Look through all the beans and pick out the bad ones discolored. In a large pot soak the beans over night with plenty of water.*Water level should be 2 inches above the beans. The next morning drain the water from the beans and place into the crock pot. Add fresh water and the rest of the ingredients. Be sure that water covers the beans. Set crock pot on low for 8 hours.
