Downhome Southern Chicken Stew

- 3 chicken breasts with bone shopping list
- 3 cups of chicken broth shopping list
- 1 tblsp ground black pepper shopping list
- 1 tblsp of salt shopping list
- 1 tblsp ground *rosemary shopping list
- 1 tblsp garlic powder (optional) shopping list
- 2 cups of milk shopping list
- 1/2 stick of margarine shopping list
- 1 sleeve of saltine crackers shopping list
How to make it
- Pour chicken broth into a large pot and add seasonings. *May use your favorite seasoning instead of rosemary. Turn stove on medium high heat. Then add chicken breasts, when broth begins to boil reduce heat to medium. Some of the broth will evaporate, add 1 cup of water and cover with lid. Let cook for 40 minutes. Remove chicken from pot and let cool enough to touch. Remove skin and bones and discard. Shred chicken using fingers then add chicken back to the pot and add margarine and milk. Stir well and return to a boil, then reduce to medium low. Add more water or milk if seems to thick. Add crackers in layers and pressing gently with the back of a spoon. Do not stir. Turn off stove.
