Burgers, Italian Style

- 1 pound lean ground beef shopping list
- 1/3 cup finely grated onion, I use a micro plane shopping list
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning, see note shopping list
- 1/4 to 1/2 cups Italian seasoned bread crumbs, see note shopping list
- 6 drops of Worcestershire sauce, or more. shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1 tsp parsley shopping list
How to make it
- Place onion, seasoning, egg,parsley, Worcestershire and bread crumbs in a med. bowl and mix well.
- Add the beef and gently mix, don't over work the mixture
- Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions and form into patties.
- Place the patties on a plate, cover with plastic wrap and put them in the fridge for at least one hour.
- One hour before cooking remove the patties from the fridge to bring up to room temp.
- Pan fry or grill. If grilling use your thumb to gently make an indentation in the centre of the patties. This will keep them from bulging.

- **** I start with 1/4 cup. If the mixture seems too wet I add a little bit more, but no more than a total of 1/2 cup.
- *****I serve these on ciabatta buns.
- ******We seldom eat dairy but these would be great with a nice slice of provolone or smoked mozzarella.
