Best Ever Philly Cheese Steak

- i Italian baguette sliced into 3 pieces, slice open, removing a bit of white bread from the middle of 2 pieces. 1/3 of the baguette can be used later. shopping list
- 1 yellow onion, about baseball sized, sliced thin shopping list
- 1 green or red bell pepper sliced thin shopping list
- 2 large cloves garlic, minced shopping list
- 1/2 jalepeño just for fun shopping list
- Salt and pepper to taste shopping list
- enough Olive oil to lightly coat the bottom of a griddle or a 12" frying pan shopping list
- 1/2 lb. very rare roast beef sliced on 1 at the deli, dice to about a quarter inch dice shopping list
- 8 pieces of slice provolone cheese sliced on 2 shopping list
- 1 T butter shopping list
How to make it
- Heat a griddle or a large frying pan over medium-hi heat.
- Coat the bottom lightly with olive oil.
- Add sliced onions and peppers and cook over med-hi heat until caramelized (lightly browned) about 6-8 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and minced jalepeño, mix thoroughly and cook for about 30 seconds
- Salt and pepper to taste. Light on salt.
- Pull veggies over to one side of pan.
- Add butter and roast beef, fry on medium just until there is no pink visable.
- Mix roast beef and veggies thoroughly.
- Divide mixture in half, and place 4 slices of cheese over each pile.
- Place the opened bread over each pile and cover with a large lid for about 2 minutes.
- When the bread is warm and the cheese melted, Use a large spatula to flip each pile over onto a dinner place close and serve.
- Serve with plenty of paper towels and Enjoy!!
