Bourbon Pecan Pie With Bourbon Maple Whipped Cream

- Pie shopping list
- 1( 9 inch) pie crust shopping list
- 1/2 cup dark brown sugar shopping list
- 2/3 cup sugar shopping list
- 2/3 cup corn syrup shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/3 cup melted butter( allow to cool slightly) shopping list
- 3 eggs, beaten shopping list
- 2 tablespoons bourbon shopping list
- 1 tsp maple flavoring or you can use vanilla shopping list
- 1 1/3 cup roasted and chopped pecans shopping list
- bourbon glaze shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsp melted butter shopping list
- 1 1/2 tablespoons dark brown sugar shopping list
- 1/2 tsp maple flavoring shopping list
- Tsp bourbon shopping list
- bourbon and maple whipped cream shopping list
- 1 cup chilled whipping cream shopping list
- 2 tablespoons powder sugar shopping list
- 1 teaspoon maple flavoring or 1 tablespoon maple syrup shopping list
- 1 tablespoon( a little more if desired) bourbon shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350
- In a bowl whip eggs until foamy. Stir in both sugars, corn syrup, salt, and maple flavoring.
- Mix in 1/2 the pecans and pour into pie crust
- Sprinkle remainingpecanson top and cover lightly with foil.
- Place on bottom rack of oven and bake 25-30 minutes.
- Reduce heat to 300 degrees , remove foil, and continue to bake an additional 35-45 minutes or until set( no longer wiggly)
- Remove from oven and allow to cool.
- Brush with bourbon glaze and serve with bourbon maple whipped cream
- Bourbon glaze
- In saucepan, melt butter.
- Stir in maple flavoring and sugar and bring to boil.
- Reduce heat and stir in bourbon.
- Stir and remove from heat,
- Brush over cooled or slightly cooled pie
- Bourbon maple whipped cream
- In bowl, whip cream and sugar together until peaks form.
- Slowly add in bourbon and maple flavoring while continuing to whip to incorporate.
- Do not over beat.
- Serve with pie
