- 1 pound linguine, or spaghetti shopping list
- 6 cloves garlic, minced shopping list
- 1 tablespoon canola oil shopping list
- 3 tablespoons rice vinegar shopping list
- 3 tablespoons Mirin shopping list
- 2 tablespoons pasta cooking liquid (this will help thicken the sauce very nicely) shopping list
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce shopping list
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil shopping list
- 2 teaspoons chili sauce (I used Sriracha) Sambal Olek would also work it would be spicier though shopping list
- 6 green onions, sliced shopping list
- 2 to 3 tablespoons sesame seeds, toasted shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Bring a pot of lightly salted water to boil. Add pasta, and cook until al dente, about 8 to 10 minutes. Drain, and transfer to a serving bowl.
- 2. Meanwhile, place a saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir in garlic, oil, vinegar, soy sauce, sesame oil, and chili sauce. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, until reduced by 1/4. Pour sauce over linguine, or spaghetti, and toss to coat. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
- Note: trick is to let the pasta set in the liquid covered and stir every now and again until the pasta has absorbed the liquid.
