Sizzling Spanish Garlic Prawns

- • 2 lb. (900 g) raw king prawns, peeled and butterflied. shopping list
- • 3 Tbs. parsley, chopped. shopping list
- • 1 tsp. chili flakes (smoked paprika) or 1 -2 teaspoon pimentos (smoked paprika). shopping list
- • 4 Tbs. olive oil. shopping list
- • 4 -6 garlic cloves, thinly sliced. shopping list
- • 4 -6 Tbs. dry sherry, fino is good. shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Heat the oven to 425 F (220 C).
- 2. To butterfly the prawns simply slit the prawns lengthways but don't go all the way through and remove the vein.
- 3. Put the prawns, garlic, chilli or pimenton, sherry and olive oil a large oven proof dish, or pan and mix.
- 4. Cook for 8 - 12 minutes in the oven, or until the shrimp are pink and sizzling.
- 5. Sprinkle with the parsley and serve with crusty bread & lemon wedges
- Serve this with Spanish fried rice and a dry white wine.
