How to make it

  • 1.Slice the bread in cross- cuts diagonally in one direction. Do not cut through the bottom. Then cut diagonally the other direction- leaving a criss cross pattern on the bread. Don't cut all the way through- you want the bread to stay intact as a loaf. (there are many references on the net that show how to cut it).
  • 2. Mix your butter/garlic/green onion/parsley so it is nice and spreadable
  • Spread it into each crevice in the bread and rub some on top- its ok to be sloppy!!
  • 3. Take your shredded cheese and also fill all the crevices
  • 4. Double wrap in foil and bake 15- 20 mins at 350 degrees.
  • 5. Unwrap and bake another 5 minutes or so to get it nice and golden and bubbly on top.
  • 6. Unwrap and serve- Enjoy the cheesy buttery goodness!!!
