Mushroom Beef Tips

- 3 Tablespoons vegetable oil shopping list
- 2 pounds stew beef, or chuck roast cut into chunks shopping list
- Medium- large onion chopped shopping list
- 2 cups beef stock shopping list
- 1/4 cup soy sauce shopping list
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 teaspoon pepper shopping list
- 8oz fresh sliced mushrooms shopping list
- 1 cup beef stock shopping list
- 3 Tablespoons cornstarch shopping list
- Cooked rice or egg noodles shopping list
How to make it
- 1) In Dutch oven or heavy pot, brown beef tips in vegetable oil.
- 2) Add chopped onion and cook about 3-4 minutes.
- 3) Add 2 cups beef stock, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Give good stir.
- 4) Bring to boil.
- 5) Reduce heat to low, simmer covered for 1 hour.
- 6) At about 1 hour, add sliced mushrooms. Stir.
- 7) Continue to simmer for 1/2 hour - 1 hour.
- 8) In measuring cup, add 1 cup beef stock. Whisk in about 3 T. Cornstarch. Add to beef and sauce to thicken and create gravy. If needed add more broth and cornstarch mixture till desired thickness.
- 9) Serve over rice or egg noodles.
- 10) Enjoy!
