New World Chili

- 1 1/2 lb. turkey breast tenderloin shopping list
- 1 (28 oz.) can diced tomatoes shopping list
- 1 (15 oz.) cans black beans shopping list
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce shopping list
- 3 cups peeled and cubed butternut squash shopping list
- 1 medium onion, chopped shopping list
- 1 cup chicken broth shopping list
- 1 cup frozen whole kernel corn shopping list
- 1 1/2 T. chili powder shopping list
- 2 garlic cloves, minced shopping list
- 2 cups fresh baby spinach shopping list
- 6 oz. jalapeno Monterey Jack Pepper cheese (I use different kinds of hot cheese) shopping list
How to make it
- In a 5-quart slow cooker, combine turkey, undrained tomatoes, beans, tomato sauce, squash, onion, 1/2 cup of the chicken broth, corn, chili powder, and garlic.
- Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 8 - 10 hours, or on high-heat for 5-6 hours. If desired, stir in additional broth to reach desired consistency. Stir in spinach just before serving. Sprinkle each serving with cheese.
