How to make it

  • Prepare the broccoli and put into to a microwave proof covered dish, steam with 2 tbs of water for 5 minutes.
  • Drain any liquid into a 1 cup measuring cup and set aside.
  • Trim beef of any visible fat and slice very thinly. It helps to put the meat in the freezer for a 1/2 hour.
  • Heat the oil in a wok or large skillet.
  • Put the beef in the wok slowly. It's best not to put too much in at one time so the temp in the wok isn't lowered.
  • Add the ginger and garlic.
  • Stir fry until the beef still has a ting of pink, about 5 mins.
  • Add the broccoli and stir.
  • To the measuring cup add enough beef broth to measure 1 cup.
  • Add the corn starch and stir well.
  • Put the liquid and the oyster sauce into the skillet and heat until thickened.
  • Add the green onion and sesame seeds and mix.
  • Remove from heat and serve.
