- 1 celery stalk, finely chopped shopping list
- 1 carrot, peeled and finely chopped shopping list
- 1 onion, finely chopped shopping list
- 1 green pepper, finely chopped shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder or to your liking shopping list
- 2 pounds ground beef shopping list
- 1 can (28 ounce) tomatoes, chopped, with their juice shopping list
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste or tomato sauce or to your liking shopping list
- 1 cup canned chicken broth of your choice shopping list
- 1 teaspoon sugar shopping list
- salt and black pepper to your taste shopping list
- 1 package (16 ounce) pasta of your choice shopping list
- could always add more ingredients shopping list
- cooking spray shopping list
How to make it
- 1.In an heavy pot coated with nonstick cooking spray, saute the celery, carrot, onion and green pepper until tender, roughly about 5 minutes.Add the garlic powder and ground beef.Cook and stirring until the meat is browned (cooked).Add the tomatoes, tomato paste or tomato sauce, chicken broth and sugar.Simmer over medium - low heat for about 30 minutes (it could simmer a little bit longer.All depends where the sauce is).Add the salt and black pepper.Could always add more ingredients to your desire.Drain any oil that's left.
- 2.Boil the pasta according to the package.Drain the pasta and serve with the Meat Sauce.
