Steak with Savoury Bourbon Sauce

- 4 medium sized grilling steaks shopping list
- Or shopping list
- 4 to 6 chicken breasts shopping list
- Marinade: shopping list
- 1 cup bourbon whiskey (I suggest Jack Daniel’s) shopping list
- 2/3 cup packed brown sugar shopping list
- ¼ cup cider vinegar shopping list
- ½ cup soy sauce shopping list
- 2 tsp crushed or minced garlic shopping list
- 1 tsp fine ground black pepper shopping list
- Sauce: shopping list
- 1 cup bourbon whiskey (JD again) shopping list
- ½ cup packed brown sugar shopping list
- ¼ cup cider vinegar shopping list
- ½ cup soy sauce shopping list
- 2 tsp crushed or minced garlic shopping list
- 1 tsp fine ground black pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Mix all marinade together with a whisk and pour over meat.
- Let sit for 30 minutes to overnight (depends on how much time you have)
- About 15 minutes before you start grilling the meat, mix all sauce ingredients in a small pot or sauce pan. Bring to a quick boil and then reduce heat to medium or medium/low heat and let reduce to about half of what the liquid level was when you started. It won’t be thick, it will still be quite liquidy.
- Grill meat to preferred ‘doneness’.
- Serve with sides, spooning sauce over meat and veggies.
