How to make it

  • Cook the pasta according to the box instructions, making sure it's tender but firm. Drain and rinse with cold water; set aside to finish draining.
  • While the pasta is cooking, mix the oil, vinegar (and/or lemon juice) with dried herbs, garlic and black pepper. Chop the green onions and add the whites to the dressing.
  • Once the pasta has cooled and drained, mix in the dressing and add the remaining green onions, red pepper, ham, peas and cheddar cheese. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, stirring thoroughly before serving. Check for seasonings and add more herbs, dressing suit your tastes.
  • All measurements are guidelines, you can add as little or as much ham, peas, veggies, cheese etc. as you like! (You can always make more dressing if the pasta becomes dry, it really depends on humidity of the vegetables and type of pasta you use)
