Cheese Crispies

- 1 c. butter or margarine (room temperature) shopping list
- 2 c. grated cheddar cheese (old is good in these) shopping list
- 1/4 t. Tabasco sauce shopping list
- 1/4 t. Worcestershire sauce shopping list
- Pinch cayenne pepper shopping list
- 1 1/2 c. flour shopping list
- 4 c. Rice Crispies (or any crisp rice cereal shopping list
- Salt to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Cream together butter, cheese, sauces and cayenne.
- Use your hands to mix in flour, cereal and salt
- Roll dough into logs 1 1/2" in diameter and 6" long. Wrap in waxed paper and chill 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Remove dough from refrigerator and unwrap. Dip a knife in cold water and carefully cut dough into 14" thick rounds. Place on a lightly greased cookie sheet, leaving enough room between biscuits for spreading.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until lightly browned.
- Store in an airtight container. Makes 60.
- The texture depends on the quantity of flour. For a crisp, thin biscuit, use a little less flour; for a softer one, use more.
