- 1/2 lb sausage, or links with casings removed, cooked and crumbled shopping list
- 1 small onion chopped shopping list
- Peppers (of your choice, seeds removed and chopped) shopping list
- Mushrooms, sliced or canned drained, optional shopping list
- 4 cloves of garlic, chopped (more or less to your preference ) shopping list
- 1 tsp ground basil shopping list
- 1 tsp ground oregano shopping list
- Pepperoni, halved (I use half of the bag that's already sliced) shopping list
- 1 small jar of pizza sauce, any flavor shopping list
- 1 small can of tomatoes, drained (optional) shopping list
- 8oz shredded mozzarella cheese shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray Pam in a large casserole dish. Set aside. Cook macaroni as directed on package. While the macaroni is cooking, in a large skillet with 1 tablespoon of cooking oil or spray, cook chopped vegetables and garlic for 5 minutes or until they're tender. Drain the macaroni and pour into casserole dish and add the vegetables.
- 2. Cook sausage in same skillet, chopping as it cooks with a slotted spoon. Turn sausage as it cooks until no pink is showing. Drain on paper towel plate. Then add on top of vegetables into the casserole dish.
- 3.Using a knife cut pepperoni in half. Add pepperoni, drained canned tomatoes (optional), pizza sauce and seasonings and stir until combined.
- 4. Top with cheese and bake uncovered at 350 degrees until cheese has melted.
- *You can add any vegetables that you like. You can add more cheese if you like.
