Sauteed Asian Cabbage
From chuckieb 5 years agoIngredients
- 1/2 a head chopped Chinese cabbage (I purchase my Chinese cabbage from a local Chinese grocery store. The leaves are a lot more flexible and less waxy than the Cabbage we grow here in Canada) shopping list
- 2 tbsp. Olive oil shopping list
- 1 tbsp. minced garlic shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. minced ginger shopping list
- 2 tbsp. light soya sauce (or to taste) shopping list
- 2 tbsp. Sesame oil shopping list
- red pepper flakes, optional shopping list
How to make it
- Chop your cabbage fairly thinly (or for your preference) with a large knife on a chopping board.
- Using a large non-stick fry pan, drizzle a good amount of olive oil in the bottom and heat.
- Add garlic and ginger and cook until soft but not brown.
- Add chopped cabbage and mix the garlic and ginger in.
- Cook for 5-10 minutes until the cabbage has cooked down and is nice and tender. (Taste a piece) :)
- Add soya sauce and sesame oil. If you want some extra heat you could also add some red pepper flakes.
- Mix well.
- Serve.
