- 300 ml lukewarm water shopping list
- 500 grams of white flour shopping list
- 2 tsp salt shopping list
- 20 g bread maker yeast shopping list
- a pinch of cumin shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- half a teaspoon sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Weigh the warm water and the flour in to your bread maker.
- Sprinkle the salt and the yeast on top.
- Set the bread maker for “dough”, which takes about an hour and a half on my machine.
- Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
- Pour the dough out on to a parchment covered cookie tray and shape it in to a rough circle. The centre should be about an inch and a half to two inches thick, tapering to the edges.
- Score the entire top in to squares, right through the dough with an oiled knife. Any cooking oil will do.
- Whip together the egg with a pinch of cumin and the sugar.
- Brush the top with the egg mixture.
- Bake for 25 minutes.
