How to make it

  • Soak Cedar plank in water all day. I use a large rectangular dish and put something heavy on top of the plank so it stays immersed.
  • Preheat BBQ to 350F.
  • Rub salmon steaks all over with Olive oil and garlic.
  • Top salmon with a light sprinkling of onion or shallots and a few sprigs of fresh dill.
  • Squeeze a little fresh lemon juice over all.
  • Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Place plank containing salmon on grill.
  • Cook with the cover closed for 15-20 min. or until salmon is cooked through and juicy.
  • Serve.
