How to make it

  • Melt the chocolate by your favorite method. I melt with a Tbs of heavy cream in the micro for 30 seconds or so. Stir with a fork to melt chocolate be careful not to over micro so chocolate does not seize up.
  • Beat the mascarpone cheese with heavy cream and vanilla till smooth. Add the melted chocolate and beat till thick and fluffy.
  • Dip quickly the ladyfingers one at a time in the coffee, shake off excess liquid. Line the bottom and sides of pan with ladyfingers, its ok to gently press pieces of them together.
  • Fill with half or third of the chocolate mousse. Add more coffee dipped lady fingers over the mousse and repeat layer or layers and end with the mousse. Sprinkle on the chocolate curls. Cover pan with plastic wrap and chill overnight to chill very well.
  • To serve Unmold and carefully slice pieces, clean knife with each cut,
