Barbs Rice Pudding

- This makes a large amount. Half the recipe for less. shopping list
- 1 pound “Carolina” rice shopping list
- 1 stick butter, sweet shopping list
- 1 can evaporated milk shopping list
- 1 quart milk shopping list
- 1 cup sugar or add more or less to taste shopping list
- 1 large package of jello instant pudding shopping list
- vanilla to taste shopping list
- raisins (optional, I soak mine to plump them up then drain them) shopping list
How to make it
- Boil rice in directed amount of water until almost tender.
- Can leave some water in the pot.
- Turn to simmer.
- Then add butter, can milk, milk, sugar and simmer 2 hours.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in dry pudding mix add vanilla.
- Raisin should get add in the last 15 minutes of cooking if you are adding them.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon.
