Grizzly Bear Chili

- 2 1/2 lb lean ground chuck shopping list
- 1 lb Lean ground pork shopping list
- 1 c Finely chopped onion shopping list
- 4 Garlic cloves; finely chopped. shopping list
- 1 cn beer (12 oz.) shopping list
- 8 oz tomato sauce shopping list
- 1 c water shopping list
- 3 tb chili powder shopping list
- 2 tb ground cumin shopping list
- 2 tb beef-flavor instant-bouillon (or 6 cubes) shopping list
- 2 ts oregano leaves shopping list
- 2 ts Hot Hungarian paprika shopping list
- 2 ts sugar shopping list
- 1 ts unsweetened cocoa shopping list
- 1/2 ts ground coriander shopping list
- 1/2 ts hot sauce, to taste shopping list
- 1 ts flour shopping list
- 1 ts cornmeal shopping list
- 1 tb Warm water shopping list
- Pinch of cinnamon shopping list
How to make it
- In large saucepan or Dutch oven, brown half the meat; pour off fat. Remove meat.
- Brown remaining meat; pour off all fat except 2 Tbsps.
- Add onion, garlic; cook and stir until tender. Add meat and remaining ingredients except flour, cornmeal and warm water.
- Mix well. Bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer covered 2 hours.
- Stir together flour, cornmeal and cinnamon; add warm water. Mix well. Stir into chili mixture.
- Cook covered 20 minutes longer. Serve hot.
- Makes 2 quarts.
