Turkish Coffee

- 1 tbsp. of extra fine ground coffee (powder consistency) shopping list
- 1/8 tsp. of ground cardamom or 1 cardamom pod shopping list
- sugar (optional) shopping list
- 1 c. of water shopping list
How to make it
- First you can add water and sugar to a boil in ibrik.
- Note: If you do not have an ibrik, a little saucepan is good.
- Then remove from flame, add the coffee and cardamom.
- Next return pan to flame and bring this to a boil.
- Then remove from flame when coffee foams.
- Once again, return to flame, allowing to foam and remove from flame
- Now you pour into your favorite cup, and then let it sit for a few minutes for the grounds to settle to the bottom of the cup.
- The ardamom pod may be served in cup for added flavor.
- Note: if coffee doesn't foam, thats ok.
