Ingredients

1 tbsp. of extra fine ground coffee (powder consistency)

1/8 tsp. of ground cardamom or 1 cardamom pod

sugar (optional)

1 c. of water

Directions

First you can add water and sugar to a boil in ibrik.

Note: If you do not have an ibrik, a little saucepan is good.

Then remove from flame, add the coffee and cardamom.

Next return pan to flame and bring this to a boil.

Then remove from flame when coffee foams.

Once again, return to flame, allowing to foam and remove from flame

Now you pour into your favorite cup, and then let it sit for a few minutes for the grounds to settle to the bottom of the cup.

The ardamom pod may be served in cup for added flavor.

Note: if coffee doesn't foam, thats ok.
