Gouda Spread Recipe
A delicious dip with crackers, pita chips or vegetables. The wax casing makes a perfect "serving dish".

Ingredients
  • 1 hole round Gouda cheese
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 tablespoon white wine
  • 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
  • 2 drops, more if desired, Frank's® hot sauce
  • crackers, pita chips, or vegetables to serve

Directions
  1. Let cheese stand at room temperature until softened.
  2. Make 4 2-1/2 inch intersecting cuts in top of the cheese ball, cuttin completely through plastic casing.
  3. Carefully lift each section of casing, curling point over index finger.
  4. Scoop out the cheese, leaving 1/4-inch wll.
  5. Refrigerate casing.
  6. In a bowl, mash the cheese with a fork.
  7. Mix in remaining ingredients.
  8. Fill caing shell with cheese mixture.
  9. Cover and refrigerate 3 hours or until firm.
  10. Let stand at room temperaure for 1 hour before serving.
  11. Garnish with parsley if desired.
