Crab And Shrimp Swirl Roll Recipe
This is a first-attempt version of an appetizer I made years ago. I have modified it over the years, but never actually wrote down quantities of my modifications! So, start with this and let your mind go wild :D

Ingredients
  • 1 package prepared pie crust mix
  • 6 ounces crab meat, picked through for shells
  • 6 ounces shrimp, well-drained, deveined and chopped
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 3 tablespoons chopped chives
  • 3 hard boiled eggs, chopped fine
  • 1 egg yolk
  • seasonings to taste

Directions
  1. Prepare pie crust mix according to package directions.
  2. Roll crust out to 9x13 inches.
  3. In a bowl, mix crab, shrimp, sour cream, chives and hard boiled eggs.
  4. Season to taste with salt and pepper and/or Old Bay® Seasoning.
  5. Spread crab mixture onto pastry and roll-up like a jelly roll.
  6. Place, seam side down, on a buttered cookie sheet.
  7. Brush outside with a beaten egg yolk.
  8. Bake at 425° for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Cut equally down roll for individual servings.
