How to make it

  • 1. In 10 inch skillet over med. heat cook bacon until crisp, Transfer to paper towels to drain, reserving dripping in pan. Crumble bacon set aside.
  • 2. Over med. heat, in hot drippings, cook chicken 10 mins. or until browned on all sides. spoon off fat.
  • 3. Add soup, garlic, and basil; stir until smooth. Heat to boiling. Reduse heat to low. cover; simmer 20 mins.
  • 4. Add onion. cover; simmer15 mins. more or until chicken is tender and juices run clear, stirring occasionally. Sprinkle with crumbled bacon. serve with rice.
  • My mother also used boneless skinless chicken breast cut up.
