How to make it

  • In a kettle brown sausage.
  • When sausage is almost browned add fresh vegetables and continue to brown stirring often.
  • When sausage is thoroughly browned add tomatoes, tomato paste, vinegar and spices.
  • Cover and simmer for 25 minutes.
  • Add cabbage and simmer for 25 minutes.

    Not too bad. Didn't have all the ingredients, so mixed & matched a bit... added some smoked ham and a bit of chicken stock powder which livened up the taste a bit in lieu of chilli powder & crushed pepper. Served it up with some fresh brown bread & butter... yummy!
