Honey Duck Recipe
This is the perfect dinner for 2.

Ingredients
  • 2 duck breasts
  • 20 ml of sherry wine vinegar
  • 20 ml of soy sauce
  • 1 clove if crushed garlic
  • 1/4 tsp. of cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp of Chinese five spice powder
  • 1 tsp of freshly grated ginger
  • 20 ml of honey
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • 8 spring of onions

Directions
  1. First you wan to score the duck breast skin in a criss-cross fashion.
  2. Then in a bowl blend the honey, vinegar, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, cinnamon, five spice powder and pepper.
  3. Now in another bowl, coat the duck in this marinade.
  4. Put a lid on and and leave for approx. 1 hour or overnight.
  5. Set the oven to fairly hot, 400 degrees.
  6. Now add the the duck on a rack in your favorite roasting tin, reserving the marinade.
  7. This should cookd for approx, 20-30 minutes.
  8. Now add the the marinade and 40mls of the roasting juices in a small pan.
  9. Put in the the spring onions and let this come to the boil.
  10. Cook on low gently for 2 minutes.
  11. Add some rice and you have a wonderful meal!

I like the name. Maybe I'll try this and when he asks what's for dinner, I yell out.."Honey, DUCK!" I'll let you know what kind of reaction I get.


I make this on Saturday and it was amazing. Now I'm looking forward to getting more duck...
