Honey Duck

- 2 duck breasts shopping list
- 20 ml of sherry wine vinegar shopping list
- 20 ml of soy sauce shopping list
- 1 clove if crushed garlic shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. of cinnamon shopping list
- 1/4 tsp of Chinese five spice powder shopping list
- 1 tsp of freshly grated ginger shopping list
- 20 ml of honey shopping list
- freshly ground black pepper shopping list
- 8 spring of onions shopping list
How to make it
- First you wan to score the duck breast skin in a criss-cross fashion.
- Then in a bowl blend the honey, vinegar, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, cinnamon, five spice powder and pepper.
- Now in another bowl, coat the duck in this marinade.
- Put a lid on and and leave for approx. 1 hour or overnight.
- Set the oven to fairly hot, 400 degrees.
- Now add the the duck on a rack in your favorite roasting tin, reserving the marinade.
- This should cookd for approx, 20-30 minutes.
- Now add the the marinade and 40mls of the roasting juices in a small pan.
- Put in the the spring onions and let this come to the boil.
- Cook on low gently for 2 minutes.
- Add some rice and you have a wonderful meal!
