Kims Awesome Tater Soup Recipe
This is a favorite soup of several friends - thought i would share it here too . pretty fool-proof and SO goooood !

Ingredients
  • 7 potatoes
  • 3/4 cup onions
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt, or reg salt
  • 4 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon celery salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 cups milk
  • 10 or so slices bacon
  • 8 ozs Velveeta cheese, cubed

Directions
  1. Saute butter and onions
  2. stir in flour and spices,
  3. add broth, cheese, potatos, add milk,
  4. simmer, add bacon at the end

This is real close to how I make mine... chicken broth is a must! I don't use basil, but lots of fresh parsley... I am so wanting cold weather..

Great tasty recipe love it will have to cut down bacon to 2 slices probably fry first as due to health cant eat that much bacon still wonderful recipe high6
