How to make it

  • In a saucepan, combine the cherries, their juices, the cinnamon sticks, sugar and the wine.
  • Heat, but do not boil.
  • In a bowl, combine the flour and milk, stirring well.
  • Strain into the hot cherries.
  • Cook until thickened.
  • Chill before serving.

    OHHHH MY this sounds wonderful. I am a big fan of cherries having been raised with three huge cherry trees in our yard. We provided cherries for darn near the whole town. I remember eating about as many as I picked but ohhh I do love them LOL

    OMG, cherries are one of my favourite things on God's good green earth! We've just finished our fresh cherry season here and I'm already depressed lol! Do you think there's a way to prepare this recipe using fresh cherries ... thoughts??
