Ingredients
  • 1 bag Oreo's (I like the double stuff)
  • 1 quart Vanilla Ice Cream softened
  • 1/2 cup chocolate sauce (bottled)
  • 1 bag chocolate chips dark or chocolate

Directions
  1. Place the entire bag of Oreo's into the food processor and make fine crumbs.
  2. In a large stainless steel or glass bowl combine cookies, add chocolate sauce and Ice Cream. Place in freezer until just hardened.
  3. Using a melon ball scooper shape the Ice Cream and cookie mixture into small 1/2 to 1' balls. Return to the freezer for at least 3 hrs until completely hard.
  4. While the Ice Cream and cookie mixture is hardening - Melt the chocolate chips over a double boiler.
  5. You guessed it when the balls are hardened you dip them in the chocolate chips that you melted and return to the freezer.

A great idea. If you like this you should try my caramel rice krispie balls. This sounds as delicious. I am going to try it! Thanks for posting.

Now why have I never thought of that? Brilliant and OH, so tempting! I'm gonna do this as a family kitchen project. Then we'll all sit down in front of the telly after dinner and enjoy the fruits of our labour lol. Great idea! Thanks for sharing.
